We are in the heart of winter here in Melbourne, Australia. With the cold weather we are all susceptible to coughs, colds and flu! Suddenly without warning you can wake up with a sore throat, headache or cold and within 24 hours you are down in bed, you can’t get up you are so sick. So its worth to keep your kitchen stocked with food to help you through those times when you are too sick to prepare food for yourself and your family. I have been through it many times myself and try every year to be prepared.

Some foods that help you get relief from colds and flu:

  1. Honey, lemon and ginger tea
  2. Chicken soup

Here are some medications to keep in your medicine cabinet:

  1. Cold and Flu tablets
  2. Cough lozenges
  3. Vicks Vapor Rub
  4. Panadol pain and fever relief
  5. Olive leaf extract

Natural oils for vaporiser:  eucalyptus oil.
