Serves 4 people

500 grm chicken breast fillets

1 inch piece of ginger sliced finely or 1 tablespoon ground ginger paste

3 tablespoons cooking oil – light olive oil or peanut oil

2 carrots sliced long thin pieces

200 grm of sliced beans

1/2 cup of sliced celery

1/2 cup of Light Soy Sauce

1 teaspoon Sesame Oil (optional)

  1. Slice chicken fillets in 1 inch length and set aside in a bowl.
  2. Slice vegetables the same size of the chicken.
  3. Start cooking. Place a wok on the stove on slow heat. Add the oil and let it heat through with the sesame oil.
  4. Add ginger pieces sliced finely and let it get slightly brown and also to flavour the oil.
  5. Add the chicken pieces and stir fry. You can cover with a lid and let it cook for 10 minutes occasionally stirring to avoid burning.
  6. Add all the vegetables and stir through. Steam cook for 5 more minutes.
  7. Add the soy sauce, stir through and let it cook for a further 5 minutes.
  8. There should be a bit of gravy, so if its a bit dry you can add about 1/2 cup of water.
Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
